The Cambuslang 'Wark'

you back 260 years to a time when
Cambuslang was one of many towns that
experienced a religious revival during
the the 1740s.
St Cadoc is believed to have had a holy site at the ground at
Kirkhill Church in Cairns Road now called Cambuslang Parish Church
ad c.550, and early buildings have been recorded from 12th century.
The present building is by David Cousin 1841. Steeple with clock and
bell. The chancel is by P MacGregor Chalmers 1922. Stained glass and
tapestries by Sadie McLellan 1957.
Millennium wall-hanging in vestibule 2001. Heraldic shields of
heritors decorate the ceiling.
